I wish it was okay for me to vent my rage to you, sweet girl. Not at you of course, but to you. I wish I could tell you just how angry I am with your bio-mom.
It is NOT OKAY that she is not parenting you. It is NOT OKAY that she dropped you off at school without enrolling you. It is NOT OKAY that she is not meeting your needs, and you aren’t even home for good yet.
However, the most not-okay thing about the whole situation is how your worker is reacting. It is really, really, really not okay that no one is taking your needs seriously.
Oh ML, I wish I could tell you just how angry it makes me that you are being swept under the bureaucratic rug. More than that, I wish I could be happy and optimistic about you going home. I wish that your mom could pull herself together and make it, but I don’t think she can.
I’m so sorry dear one, but I’m almost certain that you’ll be back in foster care by January. At least you can know that we’ll be here waiting for you. I love you so much.
